Community Involvement

Community Involvement Statement

At The Apple Tree Preschool, our commitment to our community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that a strong and thriving community is essential for the success and growth of not just our business, but also the individuals and organizations that make up our community.

Our commitment goes beyond just providing a service. We strive to actively engage with our community, listen to their needs, and contribute in meaningful ways. Whether it’s through volunteering, sponsoring local events, or partnering with local organizations, we are dedicated to making a positive impact.

We understand that a thriving community is built on strong relationships and collaboration. That’s why we actively seek opportunities to connect with individuals, businesses, and organizations within our community. By fostering these connections, we can work together towards common goals and create a better future for everyone.

If you are not familiar, this project was started by “Super” Sophia and her family. Sophia was diagnosed at the age of 2 with Leukaemia.

Love Boxes are distributed to hospitals across the GTA, Durham etc for children while they are in the hospital visiting. The boxes are filled with crafts, toys, gift cards etc.

The Apple Tree Preschool collects annually for this project.

Terry Fox Run

Eighteen-year-old Terry Fox of Port Coquitlam, BC never saw himself as remarkable. Granted, he displayed an unusual determination to achieve the goals he set for himself but his orbit was local – family, school, sports and friends. But Terry’s cancer diagnosis of osteogenic sarcoma just above the knee, the subsequent amputation of his leg and experience in the cancer wards changed all that. A newly nurtured reservoir of compassion, combined with a fierce determination to bring an end to the suffering cancer causes, set Terry on a path that, quite simply, changed the world.

Hearth Place - Supporting Cancer Patients in Hospice

“I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Hearth Place this morning to deliver our donation from The Apple Tree Preschool community. Thank you to everyone that donated! We hope that our contribution helps make a difference to the families at Hearth Place currently fighting a battle against cancer this holiday season. Sending wishes of love and good health”

This holiday season, we are raising funds to help support Hearth Place. Hearth Place is a local cancer support centre that provides compassionate support to local families fighting cancer. If you would like to help support Hearth place, we will be collecting gift cards over the next few weeks. We will also have a donation box at our Holiday Market this Sunday from 12-2pm that you can contribute gift cards or cash to.

This holiday season, let’s make a difference!

Furthermore, we are committed to supporting local initiatives that align with our values. From education program and community support initiative to environmental conservation efforts, we aim to make a difference in areas that matter most to our community members.

At The Apple Tree Preschool, we firmly believe that by investing in our community, we can create a stronger foundation for growth and prosperity. Our commitment is unwavering as we work hand in hand with our community members towards shared success.
