OUR CARING & QUALIFIED STAFF
All of The Apple Tree Preschool staff must adhere to a number of policies and procedures as well as Ministry, health and fire regulations. Annual review of these policies and procedures ensure our staff are
knowledgeable and prepared to handle any situation. All child care staff hold current certification in Standard First Aid & CPR-C.
College of Early Childhood Educators
The College of Early Childhood Educators is the professional self-regulatory body for registered early childhood educators (RECEs) in Ontario. The College’s role is to protect the public interest by setting requirements for registration to practice as an RECE, setting ethical and professional standards and holding RECEs accountable for their practice. RECEs are trained in child development and the planning and delivery of play-based learning and care programs. The Apple Tree Preschool staff with an early childhood education diploma or equivalent qualifications degree must be current members of the College in good standing. RECEs must renew their membership with the College on an annual basis. Find out more about the College by visiting www.college-ece.ca.
In addition, all of The Apple Tree Preschool staff must complete a vulnerable sector check prior to employment and renew every 5 years. Annually an offence declaration must be signed by all employees.
